Meet the Hilfigers
I'm liking the Wes Andersen-esque, super preppy qualities of this commercial. Keep up the good work Tommy and you may have a comeback.

one win one loss for Urban Outfitters
On one hand this 12 Days of Dresses page with animated models is really f*ing cool in a Harry Potter sort of way.
On the other hand, the "I'm so cool I'm hideously ugly on purpose" clunky, stretched typography shown below, I'm not digging.

Is the UO site redesign an overall win or loss? Comment.

Happy Halloween!
My roomates and I entertained the idea of doing a typographic pumpkin like this one, then decided to go with something a little simpler (may post upon completion). Enjoy this design from typophile though.

Hugh Hefner...Biz Stone?
I think it's unexpected and cool that Stoli chose to have the Twitter creator as one of their spokes people in their "Would you have a drink with you?" campaign, but would I want a drink with this guy?

Levis viral
These videos have awesome viral potential, but no one knows who put out the video, which makes it really ineffective advertising. One of the videos was even featured on GMA, and they didn't mention the brand once, which is too bad because I really like these.

Why aren't American airports this fun?
This airport in Singapore installed 2 slides to cheer up stressed travelers. Plus it's way faster than the stairs or elevator unless you have to wait in line for it. This is a great example of how cool design and cool ideas could make our world a much happier place to live. The article for this and several other unique slides is here.
